Integration with Seclore FileSecure Enterprise Digital Rights Management makes it easy to secure files downloaded from IBM ECM and shared via Box
September 28, 2015, Mountain View, CA. Seclore, the leading provider of Enterprise Digital Rights Management solutions, today announced the availability of a Box and IBM ECM Connector for FileSecure. The pre-built Connector makes it easy to add persistent, file-centric security to content that is downloaded from IBM ECM and shared through Box.
Seclore FileSecure, a comprehensive Enterprise Digital Rights Management solution, protects files wherever they go. Using FileSecure, organizations can control and audit exactly who can access a file, what they can do with the file, for how long, and from which device. These usage controls remain with the file and can be remotely modified or revoked by the document owner at any time.
With the new Box and IBM ECM Connector for Seclore FileSecure, organizations can now automatically apply granular rights management policies to content as it is downloaded and shared. The policies are persistent and will protect that content even after it has left the IBM ECM and Box repositories, ensuring secure internal and external collaboration.
One of the most unique aspects of Seclore’s ERDM solution is that policies already defined in IBM ECM and Box can be ‘federated’ and mapped to the rights used to persistently protect files. By automating the policies that secure files that travel across and outside the organization, Seclore’s Policy Federation significantly reduces the effort typically associated with managing an ERDM solution.
“The combination of Box and IBM ECM provides a powerful way for organizations to manage and share their content with employees and third parties outside the enterprises. However, the ease of sharing sensitive information also creates many risks around security, privacy and compliance,” stated Abhijit Tannu, CTO at Seclore. “With the new Seclore FileSecure Connector for Box and IBM ECM, enterprises can use the best-of-breed collaboration technologies while ensuring that content remains secure, irrespective of its location.”
Seclore offers an innovative information-centric security solution, FileSecure, which enables organizations to control usage of files wherever they go, both within and outside of the organization’s boundaries. The ability to remotely enforce and audit who can view, edit, copy, and re-distribute files empowers organizations to embrace mobility, file-sharing, and external collaboration with confidence.
Easy to deploy and use, Seclore extends the security of DLP, ECM, ERP, File Sharing and eMail solutions to protect information that move beyond the perimeter. Seclore was recently recognized by Frost & Sullivan with a ‘Growth Excellence’ award, Gartner as a ‘Cool Vendor’, and by Deloitte as one of the ‘50 Fastest Growing Technology Companies’ due to innovations in agentless receipt of protected documents. With over 4 million users across 400 companies in 29 countries, Seclore is helping organizations achieve their data security, governance, and compliance objectives.
